Janet Solís

Janet Solis moved to Monterey in 2012 from Baldwin Park California. She recently received her  Bachelor’s of Arts in Collaborative Health and Human Services from California State University Monterey Bay.  She is a proud Latina activist who believes in equal rights and opportunities.Throughout her years in college, she has participated in protests such as Black Lives Matter, Protect Ford Ord, and has pushed forward into making Salinas a sanctuary city. She worked as a Public Relation for Inter-Club Council and Cheif of Communication for Associated Students at CSUMB. Through this, she enlightens the students about the available opportunities and programs happening on and off campus. Now she will be working as an Immigration Community Organizer to ensure residents across Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties be prepared for immigration raids and possible deportation of parents of children.
